Any ideas on how to lighten the 900 RMK I've already put on a SLP can and SLP airbox?

Less weight = more money. What are you looking to spend?

Remove idlers
Drill track
Find some lighter skis
Fox Floats in front at least
Boss Seat
Radiator elimination kit
Lexan hood

that pretty much covers it. definately remove radiator. It is just dead weight up there not doing anything. I removed the radiator out of my RMK 900 and one of my friends RMK 700's and can tell no difference in the engine temps. My 900 without a radiator actually runs cooler than his other 700 that still has a radiator.

if i were t take the radiator out what would i need to put in place of the radiator? just a longer tube or somthing

Some people just plug it up and only run the rear radiator with no ill effect. Plus they open up the area for more air.

Ve Vandeberg makes a radiator kit if you really want one in the front.

Holtz front end will lighten it up.

Boss seat will lighten it up a few pounds.

Remove all the plastic off the tunnel and replace rear light with LED kit.

You can make the steering stationary and remove the mechanism.

Slydog powder hound skis will lighten it up.

Drill the track, remove wheels and put billet lightweight wheels.

instead of buying a new boss seat thats what $500+ you could take that plastic thing out from under the seat and put an 07 upgrade in. that will weigh about the same as the boss seat.

you can also get rid of some heat shields. do not get rid of the one that protecs your side pannel as the heat will put holes in it. if you take the one off the chain case I recomend putting heat tape on it just in case.

I agree get rid of the rad, slp makes a tube conecter to just bypass the rad.

Ice scratchers are a deffinant for these sleds. witch if you take off all your idler wheels you will loose about 4 lbs.

I have a mountain fit hood, hell I have 2 of them, but most people dont want to go that far. thats another 20 lbs. I like mine a lot.

get rid of the rack and taillight, but I use mine.

swaybar. optional. I took mine out and sold it. wishing I would have kept it. sucks on the trails. But now I have holz spindles, man are these things nice. another must in my opinion.

im sure theres more but cant think of any right now.
