i'm looking to find out if spending $500+ on a aftermarket pipe is worth it or is it just a expensinve way to add some noise. already got V3's installed and just added a clutch kit. looked to outrun an 03 mxz 800 with my 700 any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would get a slp single good for 10 hp.

You can find some good pipes now that don't create the noise. A good silencer is always helpful too. As he suggested SLP's single pipe for VES models. If it isn't a VES then you have the option of the twin pipes. They also sell a lightweight silencer.

I have the SLP single on my 700 switchback. I had just the can last year and could outrun my dads 800 s/b and my brothers 800 H.O. summit. This year it'll eat up summits. with the clutching it feels alot faster...

alrights, thanks for the info, SLP was the setup that i was looking at. most dealers told me that it was the way to go, but some gut that my dad talks to down in northern ill said that id had the possibility of making me lose power. i didn't think that it was very true otherwise they wouldn't have kept selling it. thanks again.
P.S. just had my sled out today, 7" fresh snow, can't wait till everything freezes and the trails are open

If I had 500 bucks to spend, I would first spend it on a roller clutch TEAM not Polaris, and then do some air induction stuff. Just my 2 cents worth.

Id pass on pipes. Twins dont respond to pipes like triples do.

Pipes :

are a must for upgrades some say twin are better of staying with single pipes as others say ves engines run better on twin but hey if u got the money for pipes go for it

p.s here a little look at a 1 of uncles ( if someone knows he does) he runs Jaws Pipes

Thats quite the setup, Wow!!

The biggest thing with aftermarket exhaust I would say is the weight reduction. I have a full hot seat single pipe system and that added noticible power but the biggest thing was the loss of that stock system that is like haveing lead in the front end.

Just my thought,
