Hey guys, Just bought an 02 Pro X 440 liquid cooled sled with Walker Evans shocks. My question is, how do I stiffin the rear shock up? (Showing it nudey magizenes won't work this time tongue.gif ). The cams are cranked all the way up, but it's just so soft it drops. I realize it should have some sag. Let's say I sit on it, I get off, and can pick the back up 3-4 inches to return the sled back to it's sitting position. Any ideas

Almost forgot a quick picture

I'm pretty sure 3 inches of sag is acceptable, open the hood, there should be a quick reference decal under there or in the owners manual, i know that there is one on my 03 Pro-X 800

3-4" is perfect.

The torsion springs sack out quikly on the pro x skid. A new set will bring it back. Also check foe any excessive play in the rear arm pivot shaft. This is a area that shows premature wear. I believe it's cause by the force created by the coupling blocks.

The xtra 10 has hardly any sit in. We are talking about the edge and pro x suspension.

Well, I just went to Hurley Wi for 3 days. Trails were alright, better then we expected. I have to change the weight transfer a bit, and get the back to stop bucking. Other then that I love it. It goes good when it was running (Fuel pick up line started to break apart, running with air in lines). These are fun little sleds.

just wondering if you did the mod and how it turned out if you did

Not yet, waiting on some idler wheels and bushings. I will let you know. Thanks

Ya i had the same problem on my xc, I rebuilt the shock but still no solution. It ended up being the springs, I would not buy springs from Polaris if i was you, as they are pricey, there is an aftermarket company that makes some called bubba springs or something.
