Mr. Jingles
Hey guys i was just wondering if you have any tips to help get some more power of my 440 ProX fan. Anything at all would be great.
Darkstar
Clutching and Gearing are really your only options on that sled. Getting your jetting spot on will get you a little power. You wont get much more power but it will be more snappy. They dont make much in the way of bolt on HP for the 440 sleds.

Yeah, most of the 440s are pretty much maxed out from the factory. Getting your clutching perfect may help some, but I think they were clutched pretty good stock.
Mr. Jingles
thanks for the help guys. I'll try it.

Air horn kit from SLP, gut your airbox, air flow holes that go on the side of your spedo. from SLP,weights, SLP mountain climbing helix, springs, you can only bassically make it more snappy but im pretty sure 550 fan heads will works on the 440...
Darkstar
550 head will work. My buddy's sled came this way. However I think he also has the pistons and cylinders. I think just the lower end is 440. I didnt build it so I dont know the history, we bought it from a kid who's dad did all the work and the kid couldnt tell me anything. It runs strong though.
Mr. Jingles
But I've heard the only reason they changed from 440 in 03 to 550 in 04 for the ProX is that it was more durable. Thats what ive heard.

That is the reason this mod was done. I can talk to the dealer when I pick my shocks up. I just remebered the dealer did the actual work so they should know what all they put on.
