bought a used 09 assault and the engine went out on me. monoblock was shot (25 psi compression on the magneto side and 75 psi on the pto side) but the piston rings were free, but some damage (heavy scuffing) to the to the pistons right under the rings on both the intake and exaust side. yes the updates were installed and the new style pistons and heads were installed last winter. the local dealer mechanics said snow ingestion is the main cause for the 800's engine failures. any tips and thoughts would greatly be appreciated. looking for the most reliable setup available because where i live and what we use these machines for is a matter of life and death....................... WTF is with these machines nowadays!!!!!!!!!!
