Is there a big difference from the 1999 xc 600 to the 2000 xc 600 if so what are the changes?
SortaStock
I think they got new graphics for 2000 and they might also get the white face guages in 2000 where the 1999's were black. I think that's 'bout it;)

Yes, in 2000 the 600 XC SP had the "small block" 600 that was based on the 440 engine, which also had Variable exhaust. The 99 600 was a big block 600, and so was the 2000 600 deluxe.

Engine is the main difference. Other than that all cosmetic. Bro in-law has one. Any more questions, ask away.

Bingo. 99' was the first year for that small block Right?

00 was the first year production for the 600. Was only available in the sp. Which was based off the 440 xcr mill.

Big differences between the 99 and 200 XC6!!

2000 had the 1st ves small block 600 motor where the 99 had the non ves big block 600.

The ves 600 is faster/better on fuel/quieter than the old big block 600.
The old 600 was a good motor, very reliable.... hard on fuel/loud...snappy though.

The ves 600 smoked everything in 2000/2001 and was cleaning up the grass drags even in 700 and 800 stock. It is also very fast on top as the gen2 chassis rolls very well and is aerodynamic.

The 2000 gen2 also had nicer ergos and a nicer seat as well as a much better rear suspension.

The 2000 XC6 was a very big improvement over 99.

My '99 700 XC SP was a dog. My brother's '98 700 XC smoked it every time.

Anyone know how much horse power the 2000 xc 600 sp has?
Serpent
About 115-118 hp.

Will a 00 600 XC sp beat an 03 F5?
indy440
^probably the 500 might get you outta the hole, but other than that the 600 will have it.
xcf44022
i had a 2000 xcsp 600 it was quick but the f5s were quicker my xcf would beat it up to 80 though i miss em both alot snappier and trail faster feeling than the 800 i got now starting to ramble on and on and on now
crdude
i beleave the 00's also had AL radius rods and what not that made them lighter. might of just been the rmk 7's.

somthing must have been wrong with your 99, i'v ridden a 99 rmk700 and my 98 xc700 back to back and the rmk is no dog.
free2reem
from what i know the 98 xc early build was faster...the later build+99 had somthing differnt in the crank i think... the 99 was havier and slower from the difference in the motors... i dont know exatly why but all i know is if you line up a good 98 with a good 99 the 98 will most likey win...

The '01 will be quicker, you'll like the Edge chassis a whole lot better too.

you wouldnt be able to tell the difference, im guessing 3hp between the two?
