I have always run BR9ES 's thought about maybe runnig Irridium plugs, or maybe Ev's. Rule of thumb is to run champion plugs in the us motors. I have never done this but others have. I think the plug number is RN57cc or some thing like that. The only thing that kept me from doing it is the plug is about an 1/8th inch longer than the NGK plug... Champiom Plugs are supposed to work better.

I will be switching to them as well, they dont foul nearly as much and the gap seems much more true unlike NGK's where every plug is a mystery on what the gap is going to be.

That will happen in the cold, really sucks though that it happened when it did. I guess you should be thankful it was just a plug. What was your plug color like????

Weird that you fouled them then, just out of queriosity was this a stainless looking plug or the on that is a kind of gold color. I have noticed last year especially that there seems to be 2 diffent plugs that come out from NGK, both solid state. The golder colored ones seem to foul way less often and have a more true gap. The silver ones however the gap is a mystery with every box you open and they seem to fould easily. Any one else have this prob or notice this???
