I have an 07 FST LX IQ. Been having CEL problems since I bought it new in 07. Digital Wrench always says "low voltage" as the cause when I've taken it to dealer. Put in new battery, fully charged, and 2 miles later, check engine light came on. The battery indicator shows 8 bars when I turn on the key, 6 bars when it starts, and then the battery indicator bars vary from 3 to 6 bars, with no rhyme or reason. Makes no difference as to RPMs, if hand warmers are on or off. Sometimes the check engine light shuts off if the battery indicator bars return to 5 or more, then comes on again when bars are 4 or under. At 3 bars, it won't start without a jump. It never goes back up to 8 battery indicator bars when it's running. I can run all day on rare occasion without the CEL coming on or it can come on and off a lot in a short trip in a day. Dealer said to run it til something more happens. Any ideas???? I am getting frustrated. Extended warranty is running out. Sherrie

check the ground wire that attaches to the engine block. you can find it by looking between the clutches up behind the air box. i had a similar problem and found that my wire was hanging on by just a few threads.

Thanks for the info. Sled has been at the dealer's for a couple days, putting in a new alternator and battery cable wire, even tho alternator tested okay. We shall see.............. Next will come the warranty issue most likely.
Also been having some track issues, hard to maintain control, especially on a corner, wants to tip way too easily, much more darting, ratcheting sound on slow speed, getting increasingly difficult to steer and rear sure likes to slide around. Track is off the floor when setting on a level floor. I am 65 and female so don't know a heck of a lot about the cause and fix of a lot of this stuff. Appreciate the help. Sherrie

If those do not bring the voltage to 14.0 or higher the problem is most likely the wire between the alternator and starter solenoid. As Smokeless said read here.

Got sled back from dealer yesterday. They found alternator intermittently not charging, installed new alternator. Also put on a new ground cable, battery to frame. The codes that were visible on the Wrench program were P0118 engine temp. open circuit or short to battery, P0562 Battery voltage low, P1553 Throttle safety switch signal error and P1704 Forward limit switch circuit voltage high. Rode it last night and the CEL came on again, just like before. Again when I turn the key, 8 bars show on the battery indicator but then drops back to 4 bars and rarely goes above. I tried backing up 25 feet and then going forward but CEL didn't go off. It continues to go off and on irratically. Plan to run it this weekend and then take back to dealer and recheck what codes are now showing up. Any ideas on what to check next?

So when you turn the key do you mean starting it? It will not show 8 bars unless it is running. If voltage still appears low you need to follow the advise given above. You need a voltage meter at this point. Run a temporary wire between alternator output and battery as a test. If voltage goes up the fix is in the link above. Takes 5 minutes to do this test.

If you are still seeing the "P1704 Forward limit switch circuit voltage high" code I can help as I just fixed my 06 that had it. This problem does not effect shifting or performance. Just annoying CEL.
