Ok... after you get past the laughing that someone actually purchased one of these sleds, does anyone know what is causing the backfire when letting of the go-juice? I had it in the shop and not any better. Typical is after short or long spurt of acelleration.... OK it does move.... When letting of throtle quick I often get back fire. Not sure if in exhaust or intake, hard to tell.

possible cause may be rich jetting, what temps did you run it in? it is nothing too big to worry about, only causulties may be fouled plugs and embarassing backfires

have you checked the valves sens you have bought the sled? Make sure there in spec!!!

My 04 Frontier is doing the same, backfires sometimes when shutting the throttle on corners.
Also has a hesitation when hitting the throttle again
I was told it was the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), so i took it to a dealer last season and they made it worse, meant to take it back bit never did.
Since then that Polaris dealer has closed along with my local dealer closing previous to that sad.gif
I have to drive 1.5 Hrs to my next nearest dealer and see if they can cure it.

It's not the throttle position sensor, it's the THROTTLE SAFTEY SWITCH. Change it out and your problems will go away.

Were the safety switches known to be faulty?
I looked over on the Polarisman site for a part number for the safety switch but did not find one yet.
Thanks,
