what tps setting is everone using? I have mine at 4 (dealer recomendation), getting awful fuel milage. I have heard of people going beyond 4 and improving fuel milage dramatically. Anyone experienced this?

Check your fuel screws, these have a large impact on mileage. also having your needle set one position too rich has quite an effect. They make half step shims for the needles because in many cases one position is too rich and the next is too lean. The 800's should get good mileage if not you have something wrong in your setup.

I don't know how the TPS can have anything to do with fuel economy. Carb jetting and clutch setup/alignment is where the fuel economy can be increased. But you also have to face the fact your running a 800 twin. It's going to use some fuel. If a 800 with proper set up averages 10 mpg, it's doing good.

Tps has alot to do with fuel milage. It effects the timing advancement.
