I need to replace the engine mounts on my 05 900 RMK.
I have never removed the engine before. What do you guys use to de-pressurize the fuel rail?
Is there any other tool that would fit the bleed off valve?
(instead the 100$ polaris fuel gauge PV-43506-A)

Which mounts are you removing?

I don't think you need to remove the motor at all.

You will need to support it, and pry it around a little. When the 900 engine mount updates were done, the motors weren't pulled out then.

I will replace them all, I have ordered the 06 mounts.
Since I have pryed the engine to re-install the recoil cover the engine is vibrating. I read that I have damaged my front mounts by doing this. (the bottom bolt was not accessible)

According my list of recalls, there was no "mount updates" on my model.

You don't have a list of recalls for your model.

You do have a list of updates for your particular machine.

Because your machine had no miles on it, when the torque stop limiter and washer update S-05-06 was installed, it did not need the motor mounts replaced S-05-05, since they had not been damaged.

When the motor mounts did need to be replaced, the crucial step to avoid damaging the front motor mounts was:

QUOTE
12. Remove the lower two bolts from the front engine base support. Loosen the top two bolts from the front engine base support. Pivot the engine forward. CAUTION: Be careful not to damage wiring and fuel lines
when pivoting the engine.

This avoids damage to the front motor mounts, because the metal base support, with two bolts removed and the two remaining, loosened, acts like a hinge. When reassembling these bolts need to be torqued to 22 ft lb.
