i have a600 sportman and it is the most cold blooded atv, i have to leave the chock on for a long time befor it willrun with out it on!!!! i had 425 mag. befor and it didnt do this, i took the 600 in for check up, came back the same way! does any one have this trouble too, its and 04. sledman

This is my first response...so here it goes. I have a 2003 sportsman 600, and YES-it is cold-bloded as hell! I got sick of it killing all of the time in winter, so what I did was under the carb, there is an idle screw. I just upped the idle a bit, and it is fine now. Hope this helps you.

thanks for the tip.. when i do that to mine i have trouble getting it in and out of gear, when it finely warms up!! i have to turn it back out.

I had the same problem with mine.There was a service bulletin issued to the dealers for this problem. I waited too long so i had to pay for the work but it is way better now. They rejetted the carb, cost me 130 bucks.
