XTRA-12 susension is great!! tongue.gif i have it on my sled and it works great over bumps and jumps. XTRA-12 has 10 inches of travel up front and 13 in the back. Fox gas shocks came standard in front and back. I dont know anything about XTRA-10 though.. huh.gif

i am not real sure on this but i think the reason was that the xtra 12 robs to much power. i think it is similar to people putting the new m-10 on older tripples and losing top end i dont know why though

The xtra 12 was never designed to be a big bump suspension. It did rob a considerable amount of top end speed due to its geometry. The skid had several updates since it was first released in a full line production in 95. It burned thru Hi-fax very quickly in the early years. The rails got a new design. The skid sag when sitting on the seat was finally figured out .Soon after it was being used in 2-up and touring /classic type sleds. All becuase it has a nice plush ride and the loss of top end. The xtra 10 went way deeper into the line ups and seen action all the way up thru the Edge chassis as the Edge skid is very much the same as teh xtra 10.
