Full Version: 06 rmk 600 "lower gearing"? can anyone help?

The 2006 rmk 600 has been an awsome sled but i'm used to my 800......any suggestions on how I can get some more torque? Clutch kit...gearing?Any help would be greatly appreciated along with specs and/or results? Thanks

Hi, the best way I know of to check your gearing is to use a magic marker and draw a line on both faces of both clutches and then go run your normal ride. Then check your clutches and see where the line is gone, this will tell you how much clutch travel you're using. If the belt isn't going through all of the clutch travel in your normal conditions you could use a slightly lower gear.

You should give us some clues, like what elevation do you ride at?

Has it got stock clutching and gearing in it now?

What sort of riding do you plan to do?
