My wifes 2002 touring is tippy and the steering sucks. I did put double carbides on which helped but it feels sluggish. It also seems to be burning up the belt. When I rode it tonight all I could smell was burning belt. Any help would be great.

I put over 11000 miles on a Gen II 600 touring. First on the tippy issue, back off the front springs until you don't get any ski lift or tippy feeling. This should help alot and the Dullie runners are a must for straight line running and they do improve bite in the corners. On the rear suspension make sure the forward blocks are on the low setting. This will help turning as it transfers more weight to the front on deceleration. I had good luck with EPI clutch kits on this sled. I ran my belts for 2000 miles plus and replaced with a new one at the beginning of the season. Just use the clutch kit for a 600XC and it will make it a whole different sled. Good luck.
