Has anyone found a resonable source for oil filters for our fst's?
My local stealership wants $22 per filter and $75 plus tax for the oil change kit mad.gif
I buy Fleetguard filters for my 7.3 diesel that are 10x larger and they're only $10.
I found Polaris ps4 oil on Amazon.com for $120 a case (12quarts) and shipped for free.
Just need to find the filters at a better price.

I've looked, and I'm pretty good at looking for that kind of thing. There is no other option.

And how much for shipping? I've found that many good deals on ebay are not so good after you add 20-30% of the value in shipping.

FILTER & O-RING FOR ALUM CAP (0454822) $19.11
I just looked on their site and this is the price I found, not much better than here in Canada.
You can't beat the trails in northern Ontario, I just checked the trail status report and there are 19000+kms (11875 miles)of trail open and ready to ride! tongue.gif out of a possible 40000km.
How many trails are open in Mi or Ohio ?
I'm heading up to Cochrane On. later this week for a week! Its as good as it gets for trail riding in Ontario.

Thank you,the year is 08,S/B. I will remove the 0451848 filter and order the 0454822 and put it in. The filter that was in the engine looked like the 0451848,but since it is the wrong one I will change it. Poor Devil

My research and observations on Filters/O Rings:

Part # 0451848 Filter/O Ring size .136" thick is for the Webber FS Motor.
Part# 0454822 Filter/O Ring size .155" thick is for the Webber FST Motor.
The filter is the same for both of these part numbers, Mahle/Knecht OX162 Made in Austria #1210119 with the only differance being the thickness of the O Ring. OX means this filter is a cannister type filter.

The complete oil change kit is for the FS/FST and comes with three quarts of oil, jumper wire and Filter/O Ring #0451848.

First part of this week I went to the dealer and purchased 3 gallons of Polaris PS4 oil and 3 filter/O Ring kits for my 3 FST's and they gave me Filter/O Ring #0451848. I went home and changed the oil and filters on all three sleds and on MY11 FST new sled with 580 Miles and the first oil/filter change I noticed that the O Ring was thicker but the filter was the same as the new ones and the old filters that were in my other two sleds. I have run my other 2 FST's for 1500 miles with the smaller O Rings without any problems. I am just wondering if all of the O Ring Oil leak problems is due to the thinner O Rings?

I have search the internet for an aftermarket replacement filter with no such luck. It is like this oil filter does not exist for any cross referance charts. My local auto parts store is going to call me sometime next week when the WIX Filter Representive comes in and I will take a new and old filter with me to see if he can find us a replacement filter. I will let everone know if and when I fing out anything. In the mean time we need to find a place to get the correct size of O Ring for our FST's. Jamo

I hate paying $20+ for a filter that is so small, when I can get a Filter for my F-350 6.0L for like $36 and it is like 5 times bigger and higher quality.

Today I just received an online order from the polaris dealer that was on back order. I ordered the FST oil filter #0454822 and they sent me the FS #0451848 filter and O Ring that was in a baggie and box and put on top of it another O Ring that was thicker, which is meant to be used on the FST. Polaris must be using up all of there old stock for this FS Weber Motor since they are not going to use it in any 2013 sleds.
