We have a stock 2001 Polaris XCR 120 with the governor set to the fastest setting and the Z120 is kicking it around the yard like a paper doll. Kids aren't happy....anyone know the proper way of by passing the governor?

Thanks,
Paul

You can call goodwin performance in IL(847 872 4001) and buy the rod that takes the place of the govener spring but why your at it you should probably buy the quik change hub and a 36 tooth sprocket and they might recomend a smaller main jet .I cant remember if I changed the jet or not. Thats all I did to mine and 18mph on the gps. My daughter polaris beets my other daughters mini rev and my buddy has 2 z120 1 stock and 1 with gears dial a jet and govener removed. ( A must on the z120 the govener rod or the zip tie trick wont last its just a matter of time before it blows up but it works fine on polaris & the skidoo)

you don't have to buy the rod that takes place of the govener spring just take a piece of a coat hanger and match it up to the spring make sure the bends are right. that's all my cosin did is and his went about 18 also
