I have got a 94 Rxl 650, and i think that there is something wrong with my throttle position sensor, don't really know that much about mechanical, but i was wondering what you meant by recalibrating the throttle position sensor? my rxl seems to take a while off start to get her power, don't know why. you press the throttle to the bar and it takes a couple seconds for the skidoo to pick up the power. once i gets going, she seems to work fine. anyone with some suggestions on what could be checked it would be appreciated.
The best thing I ever did was buy a Cylmer manual. First thing to do is check the codes on the computer using the flashing red light on the side of it. The only right way to adjust/recalibrate the Throttle position sensor is to use a Polaris select monitor. BTW, this is my second RXL EFI, and when the belt stretches it has a flat spot in the throttle on take-off. I'd replace the belt and see how she runs first before getting involved in anything major.
